New CometAlignment tool PixInsight

In the midst of many astrophotographers processing their C/2022 E3 (ZTF) images, PixInsight just released an updated version of the CometAlignment tool. An important change is that the nucleus of the comet is now calculated by optimal PSF fitting. Besides improving the overall resolution and SNR in the integrated images, it also allows to calculate non-linear paths between images. The previous version required the input files to be registered, but the updated version can also work with unregistered images. The code has been entirely rewritten which promises an overall performance increase. The official announcement and a short video explaining the improvements can be found on the PixInsight forum. The full technical documentation is located in the PixInsight documentation repository.
