PegasusAstro Ultimate Powerbox V2
The PegasusAstro Ultimate PowerBox (UPB) is a popular power and data distribution device. A typical use is to place the UPB on the telescope, so that with only one 12V power line and one USB data line to the computer, all the individual components (camera, filter wheel, focuser, dew heaters, etc) of the rig can be connected and controlled. This is a great help in cable management. The UPB has its own INDI and ASCOM drivers. So in management software such as KStars and Voyager, all the functions of the UPB can be controlled. Such functions include individual switching on/off of power and USB Ports, control of heater bands, readouts of individual outlet power usage, etc. Viking has also native support for this UPB.

Power in/out
The UPBV2 is powered using an XT60 plug, so there can not be any confusion on what is the power in and what is the power out. There are four standard 12V outputs, that each can each be switched and provide 6.5A max per output. Three connectors for dew heaters can be individually controlled as well. The RJ45 socket allows for connection of a stepper motor, such as the Motor Focus Kit.
Data in/out
The PC is connected through a B-style USB3 connector. A total of 6 USB type-A Ports are available, of which 4 USB3.1 and 2 USB2. A variable (3-12V) output is a versatile option for things like fan control. The ‘Always on’ 12V output can not be switched off and is ideal to power the PC from. An extra RJ12 jack can be used to add an external environmental sensor, or a manual controller for the focuser.
Arca bracket
Pegasus offers different bracket option to stack additional components, such as PC or to attach it to the rig. I found these brackets not very practical and designed a custom base-plate with an Arca style clamp for it. On the rig the only thing to add is an arca-style plate which is often easy to do and you will see this included in many of the rigs in the observatory.
