Hickson Compact Group

Hickson Compact Groups (HCGs) are a catalog of 100 small, isolated galaxy clusters identified by astronomer Paul Hickson in 1982. Each group contains four to ten galaxies in unusually close proximity. The images below show the objects from Hickson's catalog and link to individual pages per group with detailed information of the individual galaxies in the group.
